Football Recap: East Limestone Comes Up Short + How To Watch

East Limestone extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a 20-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Russellville Golden Tigers. The Indians lost against the Golden Tigers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 52-6 score last time.

Jacob Copeland threw for 32 yards on three of eight attempts. Cameron Dixon was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards. On the ground, Keeon Miller rushed for 85 yards and one TD.

As for Russellville, the win got them back to even at 2-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering their considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 127th, while East Limestone is ranked 265th).

The critical scores for Russellville came from Tarus Davis, Ben Pounders, and Darron Jones.

East Limestone has already played their next contest, a 31-6 defeat against Priceville on the 19th. As for Russellville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 42-7 victory against Ardmore on the 19th.
