Basketball Recap: Lathrop Picks Up 13th Straight Win on the Road

Lathrop had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They managed a 53-49 win over the Bishop LeBlond Eagles. Given the Mules' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Eagles are ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lathrop pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Bishop LeBlond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
