It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Fitch ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the New London Whalers 8-7. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Fitch and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for New London, they moved to 3-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Fitch will head out to square off against Westerly at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for New London, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-3 victory against Grasso Tech on the 30th.
