Lake Gibson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Pasco Pirates 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (56-55) Lake Gibson actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-17, 14-25, 16-14.

Lake Gibson will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Pasco, they will take on Gulf at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
