Football Game Preview: Westwood Cardinals vs. Mahwah Thunderbirds + How To Watch

The Westwood Cardinals will head out on the road to challenge the Mahwah Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mahwah took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Westwood, who comes in off a win.

Westwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 37-18 win over Weequahic on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, Mahwah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-13 heartbreaker at the hands of Dumont.

Westwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mahwah, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Westwood took their win against Mahwah when the teams last played back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 28-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
