Football Recap: Chambers/Wheeler Central Starts Season with Victory Against Randolph

Chambers/Wheeler Central took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past the Randolph Cardinals to the tune of 36-0. The Renegades haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Michael Jesse had a dynamite game, throwing for 131 yards and four touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making three total tackles in addition to snagging an interception. Trey Blackmore was in the mix as well, providing Chambers/Wheeler Central with two scores.

Chambers/Wheeler Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jesse and Mason Knox.

Looking ahead, Chambers/Wheeler Central is headed away from home for the first time to face off against North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Randolph, they will welcome Archangels Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
