After flying high against Desert View last Thursday, Nogales came back down to earth. The Nogales Apaches fell just short of the Cienega Bobcats by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Apaches of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Nogales took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-9.

Nogales' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cienega, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Nogales will face off against Pueblo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cienega, they will square off against Desert View at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
