Baseball Recap: Miller Grove Comes Up Short

Miller Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 18-2 to the Union Hill Bulldogs. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in May of 2022.

Miller Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rojelio Bretado, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Cage Hasten also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Miller Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Union Hill, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-4-1.

Looking ahead, Miller Grove will take on Avery at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Union Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Bloomburg at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
