Softball Recap: Waldport Comes Up Short

Waldport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-1 to Reedsport. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Reedsport this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-5 back in April.

Waldport saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Catharine McCarthy, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Waldport's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Reedsport, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waldport will venture away from home to take on Bandon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reedsport, they will head out to challenge Brookings-Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
