Baseball Recap: Rochester Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rochester can now relate to. They fell just short of the Manchester Squires by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Zebras were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Squires earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Rochester saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Reinartz, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Rochester has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-8 record this season. As for Manchester, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-12.

Rochester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manchester, they will challenge Eastern at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Comets will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Squires surely won't give up without a fight.
