Roaring Fork came tearing into Tuesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Meeker Cowboys 66-52. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 72-44 back in January.

Roaring Fork was led to victory by Riley Bevington and Nikki Tardif. Bevington dropped a double-double with 26 points and 12 boards, while Tardif dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Those 26 points gave Bevington a new career-high. Carley Crownhart was another key player, putting up nine points and five assists.

Roaring Fork smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meeker lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Addie Knowles, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayla Castillo, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 18 points and three steals.

Roaring Fork's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. As for Meeker, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roaring Fork will host Grand Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Roaring Fork is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season. As for Meeker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedaredge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cedaredge has 17 straight wins, Meeker has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
