Basketball Recap: Bucklin-Macon County Takes a Loss

Bucklin-Macon County lost against Green City back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs were dealt a 74-34 loss at the hands of the Green City Gophers. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Crist, who went 10-for-16 to rack up 25 points in addition to six assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Crist a new career-high in points. Jaryn Hatcher was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double with 15 points, ten boards, and nine steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Bucklin-Macon County and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for Green City, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-4.

As of now, neither Bucklin-Macon County nor Green City have any future games scheduled.
