Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Liberty Christian Academy lost against Grace Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Liberty Christian Academy Knights fell 48-41 to the Grace Christian Wildcats.

When it comes to explaining why Liberty Christian Academy lost, don't look at Bryan Bunnells. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 19 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. Those seven assists gave Bunnells a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Kuykendall, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Bunnells wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Liberty Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Liberty Christian Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Grace Christian, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.

Liberty Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-43 defeat against Cornerstone Christian Academy on the 28th. Grace Christian has also already played their next match (against Antioch Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
