Bella Vista had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 12-14 to make it four. They lost 13-5 to the Ponderosa Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in April.

Taytum Thayne made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

As for Ponderosa, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-8. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Bella Vista will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Elk Grove at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Thundering Herd's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Broncos' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ponderosa, they have already played their next contest, a 13-12 win against Woodcreek on the 6th.
