Baseball Recap: Bendle Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Bendle got themselves on the board against Genesee on Friday, but Genesee never followed suit. They blew past the Wolves 15-0. Considering the Tigers have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Mattis was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Brayden Wollard, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.

Bendle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Bendle's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Genesee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bendle beat the Wolves by a score of 11-1 later that day.
