Recap: Farwell Steers vs. Sonora Broncos
The Farwell Steers and the Sonora Broncos squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Farwell Steers had to settle for second. Farwell was outmatched by Sonora at home and fell 42-14. Farwell was down 36-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Sonora had a senior duo take command as Jaime Buitron rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns and Edgar Deluna gained 148 total yards and a touchdown. Tristan Ford made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Farwell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Sonora, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.
Farwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sonora is on the road again on Friday and play against Hawley at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Hawley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
