Volleyball Recap: Jackson Takes a Loss

Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Zane Trace Pioneers. The Ironman/Ironladies were not able to make up for their loss to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Ella Osborne paced Jackson's offense, picking up 14 kills. Osborne got some help from Daycee Howard and her 29 assists. Howard was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Zane Trace to victory were Reise Grant and Alexcis Barrows. Grant had 15 digs and three assists, while Barrows had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Barrows a new career-high.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Zane Trace, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Jackson will venture away from home to square off against Wheelersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Zane Trace, they are taking a road trip to challenge Southeastern at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
