Football Game Preview: Webster Bearcats vs. Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones

The Webster Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Webster has given up an average of 41.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Webster duked it out with Deuel on Friday. The Bearcats were dealt a 43-8 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Clark/Willow Lake had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 44-6 victory over the Tigers. The Cyclones' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Webster's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Clark/Willow Lake, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Webster couldn't quite get it done against Clark/Willow Lake when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 18-6. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
