Softball Recap: Central Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Central and Gulf squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-0. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Gulf, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gulf, they will challenge Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cobras have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
