Basehor-Linwood and De Soto are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bobcats challenge the Wildcats on Tuesday. Basehor-Linwood is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Basehor-Linwood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 69-63 to Saint Thomas Aquinas. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Saints are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for De Soto, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Leavenworth by a score of 54-43 on Friday.

De Soto has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points over those games. As for Basehor-Linwood, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Basehor-Linwood lost to De Soto on the road by a decisive 57-43 margin in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Basehor-Linwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
