Baseball Recap: Mills Triumphs

While Mills put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Harker. The Vikings walked away with a 5-0 win over the Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Tino Janke's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Nick Lafon was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

The victory got Mills back to even at 3-3. As for Harker, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Mills will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Half Moon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Harker, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 loss against Monta Vista on the 12th.
