Baseball Recap: Sam Ohlson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Buena Vista

While Lincoln Northwest's win against Buena Vista wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons beat the Bison on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-2. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lincoln Northwest got a great performance from Eli Fredericks as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Fredericks a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Lincoln Northwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Ohlson, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Ohlson a new career-high. Another was Blake Guenther, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Lincoln Northwest's record is now 10-14. As for Buena Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 18 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season.
