Baseball Game Preview: Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans vs. Barnstable Red Hawks

The Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans will face off against the Barnstable Red Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bridgewater-Raynham's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Barnstable's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Bridgewater-Raynham lost 11-4 to Milton on Friday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Trojans, who until this game were averaging 4.07 runs allowed.

Max Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Capiello, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Barnstable fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of 8-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their meetings with the Dolphins: they've now lost four in a row.

Barnstable now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bridgewater-Raynham, their record is now 9-5.

Bridgewater-Raynham beat Barnstable 7-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Red Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
