Upperman is a perfect 10-0 against Stone Memorial since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Upperman is taking a road trip to challenge Stone Memorial at 5:30 p.m. Upperman's hitters haven't had much luck over their past nine contests, but Thursday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Upperman managed to slip by DeKalb County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Upperman lost 8-0 to DeKalb County on Tuesday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Stone Memorial was a bit more limited in their game last Tuesday. They fell just short of White County by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Kenzie Jackson was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Jackson wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Camdyn Holbrook, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Upperman's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Stone Memorial, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Upperman skirted past Stone Memorial 5-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Upperman since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
