St. Charles Catholic entered their tilt with Newman on Saturday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Greenies a 15-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

St. Charles Catholic pushed their record up to 19-9 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Newman, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
