Chicago Public Illini - Land of Lincoln recap Oct. 3, 2012

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Phillips, who took down 254th ranked King, 14-8.

The Wildcats moved up to 272 from 355 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Chicago Public Illini - Land of Lincoln. Phillips was able to make the jump by beating the Jaguars 14-8.

Harlan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Daniel Johnson threw for 126 and two touchdowns and Malik Sanders had 40 yards receiving. On the ground La fonza Alston chipped in 107 yards. Trayvon Tate helped Harlan's passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.

Harlan's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Falcons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 490 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Clifton Cooper has five catches for 164 yards. Johnson also leads the league in rushing with 368 yards.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when King takes on Fenger. Lonnie Williams's team's offense has scored 104 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Titans have allowed only 227 on the year.

Julian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Chicago Public Illini - Land of Lincoln. The Jaguars defeated Fenger 50-8 earlier in the week.
