Basketball Recap: Woodruff Wolverines vs. Chapman Panthers

If Woodruff was feeling good fresh off their 53-20 takedown of Mountain View Prep last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Woodruff Wolverines took a 46-28 bruising from the Chapman Panthers on Friday. Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kara West, who posted two points in addition to nine boards and four steals. West is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jasmine McKnight, who put up six points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Woodruff smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive matches.
