After a string of four wins, Coronado's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midland Bulldogs. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Midland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coronado will square off against Monterey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Midland, they will head out on the road to square off against Randall at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
