Recap: Bishop Gorman Gaels vs. Spring Valley Grizzlies
The Bishop Gorman Gaels stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They breezed by Spring Valley at home to the tune of 66-34. The victory was familiar territory for Bishop Gorman who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Gorman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addysen Carr, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten steals. Carr is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Chestnut, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charolette Delisle, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Delisle hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jada Green, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Bishop Gorman pushed their record up to 20-4 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Spring Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
