It was a Battle of the Birds when Christian Brothers challenged Vista del Lago on Tuesday. The Christian Brothers Falcons wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Josh Lewis was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Christian Brothers saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Pelka, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Christian Brothers' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Vista del Lago, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
