Basketball Recap: Pinson Valley Finds Playoff Glory Versus Clay-Chalkville

Pinson Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clay-Chalkville Cougars on Tuesday, sneaking past 49-46. The victory was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won eight matchups in a row.

Pinson Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Austin 'Woo' Coner, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points. Coner is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 21 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Quay Lynch, who posted 12 points.

Pinson Valley's win bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Clay-Chalkville, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-10.

Coming up, Pinson Valley will challenge McGill-Toolen at 2:00 p.m. on February 26th. McGill-Toolen will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Pinson Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Clay-Chalkville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
