Preview: Odem Owls vs. Hebbronville Longhorns
Odem is 4-0 against Hebbronville since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Odem Owls' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Hebbronville Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Odem is ranked 1244th, while Hebbronville is ranked 1259th).
Last Saturday, Odem slipped by Alice 50-49.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Hebbronville sidestepped Pettus for a 39-37 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hebbronville.
Hebbronville can attribute much of their success to Jeffery Shreve, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Shreve continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
The losses dropped Odem to 5-7 and Alice to 10-5.
Everything came up roses for Odem against Hebbronville in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 67-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Odem since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
