Soccer Game Preview: Girls Preparatory School vs. Chattanooga Christian

The Girls Preparatory School Bruisers will venture away from home to challenge the Chattanooga Christian Chargers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Girls Preparatory School took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Tuesday. They never let Knoxville Catholic get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Chattanooga Christian made sure to put some goals up on the board against Silverdale Academy last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Seahawks with a sharp 8-1 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Chattanooga Christian's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Silverdale Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Carly Sims led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Girls Preparatory School's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matches. As for Chattanooga Christian, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 5-6.

Girls Preparatory School might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Chattanooga Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Bruisers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
