Volleyball Recap: Dupree Takes a Loss

Dupree was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newell Irrigators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irrigators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Dupree started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-23, 15-10.

Dupree's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Newell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Dupree will head out to take on Flandreau Indian at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Newell, they will venture away from home to challenge Harding County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
