Basketball Recap: Harvest Community Takes a Loss

Harvest Community suffered their closest defeat since February 8, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder by a score of 56-54. The Warriors' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Harvest Community still got an impressive performance from Adam Lawson, who went 7 of 16 en route to 22 points and eight boards. Lawson's afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Pritchard, who posted eight points in addition to 22 rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Harvest Community smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 33 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Harvest Community's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Out-of-Door Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Harvest Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-45 loss against Forest Lake Academy on the 18th. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they will take on Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Out-of-Door Academy is facing Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy at the right time seeing as Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
