Recap: University Wildcats vs. Los Angeles CES Unicorns
The University Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Los Angeles CES at home by a decisive 51-36 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for University in their matchups with Los Angeles CES: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why University lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ian Uriarte. Despite the final result, he scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Syrus Azarbarzin, who scored four points along with three steals.
University has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Los Angeles CES, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
University will take on St. Margaret's at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Los Angeles CES on the road again on Monday and play against Manual Arts at 2:30 p.m. on January 15th. One thing working in Manual Arts' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
