Football Game Preview: Sands Mustangs vs. Southland Eagles + How To Watch

The Sands Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Southland Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sands will be strutting in after a victory while Southland will be coming in after a defeat.

Sands played against Wilson on Friday and won via forfeit.

Southland is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight games on Friday. They were dealt an 82-38 loss at the hands of Loop.

The win made it two in a row for Sands and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Southland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Sands against Southland in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 75-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
