Basketball Recap: Maine South Takes a Loss

Maine South was the 49-32 winner over Evanston when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Maine South Hawks came up short against the Evanston Wildkits on Friday, falling 58-36. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Maine South dropped their record down to 7-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Evanston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

Maine South will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenbrook South at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Maine South is facing Glenbrook South at the right time seeing as Glenbrook South is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Evanston, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rolling Meadows at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rolling Meadows will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Evanston surely won't give up without a fight.
