Softball Recap: Baker Comes Up Short

Baker fell victim to Episcopal and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 25-0. Having soared to a lofty 39 runs in the game before, the Buffaloes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Baker has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Episcopal, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Looking ahead, Baker will head out to challenge White Castle at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.54 runs per game on average), something the Buffaloes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Episcopal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tara at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
