Volleyball Game Preview: Wink Wildcats vs. Christoval Cougars

The Wink Wildcats will challenge the Christoval Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wink will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

On Monday, Wink got the win against Sonora by a conclusive 3-0.

While Wink won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 26-24.

Wink can attribute much of their success to Player #3, who had three digs and three aces, and Brinley Baker, who had six digs and two aces. Player #3 has been hot recently, having also posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Wink was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Christoval, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Coleman on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-11, 25-14.

Wink's win bumped their record up to 28-15. As for Christoval, their victory bumped their record up to 17-18.
