Soccer Recap: Oxford Academy Find Success

Glenn typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Oxford Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Glenn Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Eagles last Monday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Oxford Academy's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3-3 and their overall record up to 5-8-4. As for Glenn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxford Academy will take on Pioneer at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oxford Academy's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Glenn, they will challenge Whitney at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
