Basketball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Newton took on Carlisle on Saturday. The Newton Cardinals were beaten by the Carlisle Wildcats 60-31. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Newton now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Carlisle, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Newton nor Carlisle have any future games scheduled.
