Volleyball Recap: Sand Creek Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sand Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Village Mountaineers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountaineers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-14.

Palefuiono Opetaia-Te'o paced Sand Creek's offense, picking up five kills. Opetaia-Te'o got some help from Jasyra Corpus and her eight assists. Opetaia-Te'o was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Sand Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Village, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Sand Creek has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Pueblo Centennial on the 16th. As for Village, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Falcon on the 15th.
