Basketball Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss

Wellborn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 46-22 to the Saks Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Wildcats are ranked 138th).

Wellborn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Saks, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Randolph County the next time they take the court. Wellborn will head out to face Randolph County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while Saks will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
