Soccer Game Preview: East Laurens vs. Central

The East Laurens Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Central Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

East Laurens is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Academy for Classical Education just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Thursday. They fell just short of the Gryphons by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Crawford County on Thursday, sneaking past 1-0.

East Laurens' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Central, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
