Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Faith Marquez stepped things up a notch to give Modoc the 'W'. Marquez tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The performance also marked the most strikeouts (three) she has had since back in March.

Marquez's strong effort led Modoc over Weed and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars are limping into the matchup having lost ten straight at home dating back to last season.
