Baseball Recap: Wade Hampton Comes Up Short

Wade Hampton was the 5-1 winner over Eastside when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Generals fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday.

Wade Hampton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chandler Steffof, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles and two RBI.

Wade Hampton dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 2.25 runs. As for Eastside, their record is now 12-7.

While Wade Hampton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
