Softball Game Preview: Calhoun Red Devils vs. South Harrison Hawks

Calhoun is 0-6 against South Harrison since April of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. Calhoun will be playing at home against South Harrison at 12:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Calhoun is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Wahama, falling 18-1.

Meanwhile, South Harrison fell victim to Ritchie County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Rebels. The Hawks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

South Harrison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Arbogast, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

South Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.

Calhoun suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to South Harrison when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Calhoun avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
