Baseball Recap: St. Paul/Palmer Drops Season-High Score on Thurston-Cuming County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Paul/Palmer). They came out on top in a nail-biter against Thurston-Cuming County on Monday, sneaking past 12-11. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with Thurston-Cuming County recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Braxton Heater was incredible, going 3-for-6 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

St. Paul/Palmer now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Thurston-Cuming County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.

Looking ahead, St. Paul/Palmer will square off against Twin River at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
