Football Recap: St. Patrick-St. Vincent Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Patrick-St. Vincent and Piedmont squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Patrick-St. Vincent had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of the Highlanders. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Bruins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Xavier Henderson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 215 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries for Piedmont. Henderson also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Highlanders are 6-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cash Panico, who picked up 51 receiving yards and three TDs.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Piedmont, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Piedmont, they will face off against Willits at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so the Highlanders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
